  Conversations for Improving Staff Performance

This two-day course equips managers with the skills required to conduct successful Performance Improvement interviews. It enables managers to handle difficult conversations with staff who are under-performing. It gives managers tools to motivate and gain more co-operation from staff. These tools can be used in formal situations, such as Professional Development Reviews and Supervision, as well as in more informal conversations.

By the end of the course managers will have extended their skill repertoire and be more able to:

  • Hold performance reviews which motivate and engage staff
  • Empower staff to take responsibility for their own learning and development
  • Be more successful in co-designing sustainable performance improvement plans
  • Create and support a working environment which recognises and builds upon what is already going well.

  • Create a positive working culture
  • Develop staff talents
  • Make empowerment more than just a cliché
  • Prepare for success
